Anthony “Tony” John Morgovich of Speers Hill, passed away peacefully on March 24, 2024, in Penn Highlands Mon Valley Hospital. He was born on March 31, 1947, a son of the late Joseph and Antonina (Lena Parnella) Morgovich. Tony owned and operated Morgovich Signs for the last 45 years with his work visible all around the Mon Valley. When Century III Mall opened in 1979, he created most of the signage on the outside and much of the inside signage, including monthly event signs and stage backdrops for events at the mall. He was a collector of Disney’s Uncle Scrooge memorabilia, a model train enthusiast and an avid fan of science fiction books and movies. Tony was a Boy Scout leader for the Charleroi pack and troop for 16 years and served on the council for three National Scout Jamborees. His biggest love was spending time with his children and grandchildren. Tony is survived by his wife, Yvonne (Vonnie Padovich) of 54 years; two sons, Ryan (Erika) and Jeffrey (Jessica), both in the Pittsburgh area; two grandchildren, Ella and Archer; sisters, Julie Fruecht (Dan) of Pittsburgh and Christine Zelinsky (John) of Noblesville, Ind.; and a brother-in-law, James Padovich (Linda) of Bentleyville. He was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph. At Tony’s request, no services will be held. Arrangements are in care of THOMPSON-MARODI FUNERAL HOME, 809 Main St., Bentleyville, 724-239-2255.
