Sharon E. Zelenski, 64, of Charleroi passed away peacefully on Friday, March 22, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born on Oct. 12, 1959, she was the daughter of the late James F. Hayes and Janet George Hayes-Matty and Lawrence Matty. She was retired from Washington County Children and Youth Services, where she had been an administrative assistant. She loved horses, dancing and online shopping, but her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren. Sharon is survived by her daughter, Jacqueline (Steven) Gray of Charleroi; son, Darryl (Brittany) Zelenski of Irwin; grandchildren, Erica and Kelsea Gray and Dominic and Carter Zelenski; sister, Jacqui Kin, of Imperial; brother, Doug (Stella) Hayes of Florida; brother-in-law, Robert Zelenski of Fallowfield Township; numerous nieces and nephews; and her shih-tzu, Gizzy. In addition to her father, mother and step-father, she was predeceased by her husband, Dean Zelenski, who passed on March 4, 2024; grandparents, Rego and Eleanor George and Mary Hayes; brother-in-law, Tom King; and sister-in-law, Marlene Zelenski. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, March 25, 2024, with 7:30 p.m. the time of services at CARL J.
