James R. King – Washington and formerly of Roscoe

James R. King, 91, of Washington and formerly of Roscoe, passed away Thursday, March 14, 2024, in Townview Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born Dec. 16, 1932, in Roscoe, a son of Joseph and Jessie Hamilton King. Mr. King graduated from California High School and worked as a self-employed carpenter. He was a member of Fourth Presbyterian Church in Washington, Monongahela Valley Masonic Lodge 461 and was a former volunteer of the Roscoe Volunteer Fire Department. He was married to Margaret Calcutt, who died in October of 2008. Surviving are three daughters: Cindy (late John) Bush of Washington, Jackie Smith of Houston and Kristy (Sean) Terling of Chartiers Township; three grandchildren, Erica (Derek) Mellors, Austin (Yasmeen) Albader and Spencer Terling; and three nieces, Cathy (Bernie) Medved, Janie (late Stan) Halle and Denise (late Patrick) Meehan. Deceased in addition to his wife and parents are a sister, Eleanor King Crawford Carson; and a nephew, W. Robert Zaph. The family would like to thank the incredible staff at Townview Health and Rehabilitation Center for their loving and exceptional care.
