Alma McElwee Sapp – Charleroi

Alma McElwee Sapp, 83, of Charleroi, passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh. Born June 3, 1940, in Robinson, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Jess and Josephine McAdams McElwee and beloved wife of the late William Sapp. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Dianna Burgan; sons, Joseph and William Jay Sapp; sisters, Vernice Gamble, Mary Jane McElwee, Hazel Erma McElwee, Darlene Fleming and Louise McElwee; and brothers, Kenneth and Charles McElwee. She is survived by her children, Steven Sapp of Charleroi and Richard (Pam) Sapp of Monessen; her grandchildren, Robin Burgan, James Burgan Jr., Samantha Sapp, Travis Sapp, Casandra Sapp, Jenny Sapp and Ambra Sapp; great-grandchildren, William, Madlynn and Mason Burgan, Sienna, Serena, Svanna, Sofia, Wyatt Fordyce, Nina, Natalie and Tony Sapp, Shakia Sapp and Milani Wilson; her sister, Ethel Queer; many nieces and nephews; a stepson, Fred Weber; a son-in-law, James Burgan; and a daughter-in-law, Dawn Sapp. Visitation will be held at WILLIAM A. BAUTZ FUNERAL HOME, 139 Main St., New Eagle, 724-258-8190, from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday. A committal service will be held at Mon Valley Memorial Park Chapel, Donora, PA, 15062, at 11 a.m. Thursday.
