Driver hurt in Route 51 crash

Rostraver Township Central firefighters and township police were called Monday morning to a vehicle accident with entrapment on Route 51 at Fellsburg Road. Crews used hydraulic rescue tools to free a trapped occupant. Rostraver West Newton Emergency Services transported a patient to the Rostraver Airport to be flown by medical helicopter to a Pittsburgh hospital. Traffic on Route 51 was restricted for about an hour.
