Sally Ann Kevech – Monongahela

Sally Ann Kevech, 84, of Monongahela, died Sunday, March 10, 2024, in the Penn Highlands Mon Valley Hospital. She was born Aug. 26, 1939, in New Eagle, daughter of Charles “Dutch” and Maude Eleanor Lenhart Frye. Sally was a 1957 graduate of Monongahela High School and later earned a bachelor’s degree in education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She was a manager at the Department of Public Welfare until her retirement in 1999. Sally loved traveling and spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter, Janice (Philip) Duncan of Mechanicsburg; son, Joseph Charles “JC” Kevech of Monongahela; six grandchildren, Whitney Demchak, Brooke George, Devin Kevech, Emily Kevech, twins, Jessica and Amelia Duncan; three great grandchildren, Easton, Harlowe and Fallon; special niece, Jill Danish of Venetia; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, James Michael Kevech; and her sister, Nancy Springer. Friends will be received from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 16, 2024, at FRYE FUNERAL HOME INC., 427 W. Main St., Monongahela, where services will be held at noon with the Rev. Jude Urso officiating. Interment will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Carroll Township. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the family at www.fryefuneralhome.com.
