Bernard Paul Fertall, 45, of Rostraver Township, formerly of Monessen, passed away on Monday, March 11, 2024. He was born on Oct. 15, 1978, in Pittsburgh, the son of Bernard E. (Sherri) Fertall of Monessen and Rhonda (Joseph) (Morris) Sitterly of Port Charlotte, Fla. Bernie was a die-hard Pittsburgh Steelers fan and loved his dog, Rux. He loved his family and friends tremendously. He will be remembered most for his fun, outgoing personality and his contagious smile. He was a 1996 graduate of Monessen High School and went on to obtain his bachelor’s degree from Robert Morris University. He was currently working for Model Cleaners as a route manager. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his grandfather, John McShane of Monessen; sisters, Sherriann (Matt) Sasko of Venetia, Pa., and Holly Fertall of Monessen; stepbrothers Josh (Maddi) Sitterly, Vincent (Camille) Sitterly; and nieces and nephew, Lucas, Sloan and Margot Sasko; aunts, Robbie Morris of California and Theresa DiChara of Redbank, N.J.; uncle, John (Ellen) Fertall of Smithfield, Pa.; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousin and life-long friends. He was preceded in death by his loving brother, Chad Fertall; and maternal grandmother, Rosella McShane. Arrangements were entrusted to DALFONSO-BILLICK FUNERAL HOME INC. AND CREMATION SERVICES, 441 Reed Ave., Monessen. A public funeral Mass will be held beginning at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, March 16, 2024, at Epiphany of our Lord Church, with the Rev. Michael J. Crookston officiating. Immediately following the service, a funeral luncheon will be held in the Epiphany of Our Lord Church Hall. Condolences are being accepted at www.dalfonso-billick.com.
