Arson alleged in tavern fire

A Monongahela man is accused of arson after a fire early Friday morning left the city’s Main Street Tavern completely charred and bare. Hunter McMahon, who was arrested Friday afternoon, is also charged with reckless burning, aggravated assault of an officer, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness. He was harassing officers and firefighters as they responded to the fire and kicked an officer in the face, according to the criminal complaint.
