Elizabeth A. ‘Liz’ Schneider – West Newton

Elizabeth A. “Liz” Schneider, 61, of West Newton, died Thursday, March 7, 2024. She was born July 8, 1962, daughter of the late Fred and Victoria Streets Horne. Liz was employed by Fayette Resources for over nine years, and previously by Laurel Highlands Foundation, as a direct support person for people with intellectual disabilities. A member of Faith Lutheran Church in West Newton, she was a caring loving person who was well respected. Surviving are her husband, Richard S. Schneider Sr.; and sons, Fred Allen Horne and wife Terra, and Richard S. Schneider Jr. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at J. William McCauley Jr. Funeral Home, 901 Vine St., West Newton. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Faith Lutheran Church, 820 Plummer School Road, West Newton. Everyone is to meet at the church. Interment will follow in West Newton Cemetery. Condolences may be left at http://www.mccauleyfuneralhome.com.
