Local wrestlers moving on at PIAAs

WPIAL champion Chris Vargo easily cruised into the PIAA quarterfinals at 127 pounds with a 15-0 technical fall win over North East’s Kyler See in the Round of 16 Thursday. Vargo led 11-0 after the first period with three nearfalls and a takedown on See. Vargo will face Mifflinburg’s Ben Straub in today’s quarterfinals.
