Ramona Koschak, 70, of Hutchinson, died Monday, March 4, 2024, in Latrobe Hospital. She was born Jan. 20, 1954, in New Eagle, the daughter of Charles and Ardith Boyd Downer. Ramona was a 1972 graduate of Ringgold High School. In her younger years, she enjoyed fishing and camping. She loved riding around in her golf cart, floating in the pool, looking at the stars, feeding birds and squirrels and watching softball. She is survived by three sons, Brian (Erin) Watkins, Timothy Watkins, all of West Newton, and Christopher (Deena) Watkins of Smithton; five grandchildren, Makaylah, Addison, Brycen, Nova and Maci; two sisters, Diane (Ed) Avau of Carroll Township and Cindy (James) Tatar of Monongahela; and her beloved dog, Lugnut. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James L. Koschak; brother, Raymond “Butch” Downer; and her twin sister, Rebecca Downer. Friends will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday, March 11, 2024, at FRYE FUNERAL HOME INC., 427 W. Main St., Monongahela, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 12, 2024, with the Rev. Mark Woomer officiating. Interment will follow in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies in Bridgeville. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the family at www.fryefuneralhome.com.
