Lu Ann Carol McGill, 68, of Monongahela, Forward Township, died Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at Jefferson Hospital. She was born June 1, 1955, in New Eagle, the daughter of Raymond and Freada May Stewart Pritchard. Lu Ann was a 1973 graduate of Elizabeth Forward High School. She was Methodist by faith. She decorated cakes for many years at Valdiserri’s Bakery in Belle Vernon, as well as personally making them for others. Lu Ann was also employed at the Medicine Shoppe in Monongahela. Her biggest passion in life was music. Lu Ann loved singing and was the lead singer of her band called the Laurel Valley Band. She also played with the Fiddler’s Association. She is survived by her daughter, Lori (Chris) Moody of Elizabeth; two granddaughters, who she affectionately called her “gug bugs,” Meghan and Mariah Moody; sister, Linda Kisner of Forward Township; brother-in-law, Robert (Diana) McGill, and their children Jason and Joshua of Altus, Oklahoma; sister-in-law, Cheryl (Richard) Boyles and their children, Sean, Kelly and Shane of Belle Vernon; two nephews, John (Lisa) Stewart and Ryan Stewart; and godson, Colton Kisner. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Kevin William McGill, who died on Aug. 14, 2015; brother, John (Esther) Stewart; and nephew, Randy Kisner. Friends will be received Sunday, March 10, 2024, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at FRYE FUNERAL HOME INC., 427 W. Main St., Monongahela, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 11, 2024, with the Rev. Dan Owen officiating. Interment will follow in Round Hill Cemetery in Elizabeth.
