Frances Eleanor Gereshenski – Monongahela

By obits

Frances Eleanor Gereshenski, 78, of Monongahela, departed this life on Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2024, with her loving family by her side. She was the daughter of the late Francis and Blanche Dobrzynski Remen. She enjoyed reading a novel in a day, couponing, Sudoku, crocheting, hosting family gatherings, dancing to a polka or singing Conway Twitty — enjoying her family and community. Frances was a parishioner of St. Andrew the Apostle Parish in Monongahela. She was in the bowling league at the Hoot Owls Athletic Association and was a patron at the American Legion, James C. Ford Post 949, and the Arroas Haymakers Association. The family was greatly appreciative of the village of compassionate caretakers of Centerville Clinic, SPHS, VITAS Healthcare and Fayer Family Homecare. She is survived by two sons, John V. Gereshenski and Michael R. Gereshenski; a daughter, Crystal Jo Gereshenski (Edward); three cherished grandchildren, Christy A. (John) Quattro, Christina Danielle (Edgar) Bautista and John R. Gereshenski; a great-granddaughter; Isabella A. Quattro, whom she adored; her feline companion, Miss Rhinestone; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. She was greeted into heaven by her husband, John R. “Rhinestone” Gereshenski; her sister, Margaret Remen; grandson, Roy C. Gereshenski; and daughter-in-law, Christine Denise Gereshenski. A memorial will be announced at a later time. MARSHALL MARRA FUNERAL HOME, 216 Chess St., Monongahela, 724-258-6767, is in charge of the arrangements. Condolences can be made at marshallmarrafuneralhome.com.
