Lois Marie Martin, 88, of Rostraver Township, died Friday, March 1, 2024. Born in Elizabeth Township on July 24, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Ernest W. and Irene E. Brown Momeyer. Lois was a graduate of West Newton High School and was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in West Newton. She retired from General Motors, where she was a buyer in the purchasing department of Fisher Body in West Mifflin. Lois loved to read and play word games. She especially loved reading the Bible. She enjoyed boating, fishing and spending time at Deep Creek, Md. She is survived by her husband, Donald J. Martin; nephew, Barry Farmer of Irwin; and nieces, Rebecca Kwaczala of Greensburg, Amy Wilson of Madison and Vicki Corwin of Ruffs Dale. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Janet L. Farmer. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at JAMES C. STUMP FUNERAL HOME INC., 580 Circle Drive, Rostraver Township, 724-929-7934, www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com. Family and friends are asked to meet at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Christ Lutheran Church, 302 Vine St., West Newton, for a funeral service with Pastor Rebecca Dittenhafer officiating. Interment will follow in West Newton Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions to either Christ Lutheran Church in West Newton or to the American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org.
