Richard L. Evans, 70, of Charleroi, Fallowfield Township, passed away Feb. 22, 2024, at UPMC Shady-side Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born Dec. 9, 1953, in Monongahela, he was the son of the late Harold Raymond and Elizabeth Lillian Price Evans. After his graduation from Monongahela High School, Richard worked for many years at the former Friendly Bakery in Monongahela, and for the past 15 years was working as a logistics manager for the Wall Firma Co. in Monongahela. Rich enjoyed going for country drives, antiques, classic movies and all types of animals, but most of all, spending time with his family. Rich is survived by his sister, Kathy Evans of Monongahela; his life partner of 15 years, Terri Brownfield; four stepsons, Anthony D. Hall of Maryland and Timothy A. Brownfield, Wesley D. Roberts and James Roberts, all of Charleroi; and two step grandchildren. A celebration of Richard’s life will be held Saturday, March 9, 2024, at First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), 61 Walnut Ridge Road, Charleroi, PA 15022, beginning at 11:30 a.m. with a reception immediately following.
