Anthony Mario “Tony” Muccino Jr., 63, of Belle Vernon, passed away suddenly on Thursday, Feb. 29, 2024, with his loving wife by his side. He was born in North Charleroi on Nov. 29, 1960, to the late Mary Kathleen McKee and Anthony Mario Muccino Sr. Tony was the former owner of Mario’s Pizza Biz and co-owner of Medmart Pharmacy in Connellsville. He graduated from Belle Vernon Area High School in 1979 and went on to Pitt to earn his bachelor’s degree in pharmacy and chemistry and his master’s degree in liberal arts. Tony was quite a character and free spirit. He told everyone he loved them and loved people all around him. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Jancy (Barcus) Muccino; his son, Noah Muccino; his four stepsons, Raymond Hewitt of Monessen, Jeremy Hewitt at home, Travis Kenny of Rostraver and Seth Kenny of North Belle Vernon; eight grandchildren, who loved him dearly; five brothers, Jeff (Kristen) Muccino of Canonsburg, Dan (Nora) Muccino of Rostraver, Frank of Rostraver, Paul (Ashley) Muccino of York, and Tim Muccino of Rostraver; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his baby son, Anthony M. Muccino III. He will be very sadly missed and loved. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-5300, www.FergusonFuneralHomeandCrematory.com. A blessing will be held at 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home with Father Michael Crookston. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
