William ‘Bill’ Michael Chorgo – Elizabeth Township

William “Bill” Michael Chorgo, 77, of Elizabeth Township, passed away at home on Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2024. He was born May 3, 1946, in McKeesport and was the son of the late William Michael Chorgo and the late Florence Palm Butcher Chorgo. Bill was a retired regional sales representative for SuperValu Foods. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War as a master chef while stationed in Germany. He is survived by cousins, Charlene (the late Ray) Moore Critchfield of Elizabeth Township, Charles (Giovanna Salvio) Moore of Charleroi, Carla (Larry) Tentor of Ashland, Va., and Barbara (Kirk) Lawrence of Pittsburgh; nieces, Jessica Moore, Jordan Moore, Molly Crews, Morgan Crews and Meredith Tentor; nephews, Zack Tentor and Luke Lawrence; sister-in-law, Barbara Butcher; and goddaughter, Tara Rosin. He was preceded in death by his brother, Edward “Butch” Butcher. Friends are welcome from 2 to 6 p.m. Monday, March 4, 2024, at GILBERT FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 1638 Lincoln Way, White Oak, 412-672-6322, Troy J. Gilbert, Director. Service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 5, 2024, with the Rev. John Corbett, officiating.
