Michael Rebich of Brownsville., passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Monday Feb. 26, 2024. Michael, 83, was born to the late Miller “Jake” and Ann Zinko Rebich. He graduated from Bentworth High School in 1958, then attended Marquette University and the University of Pittsburgh. He enjoyed a rewarding career as a chemical/mechanical engineer. He was a former member of the Charleroi Area School Board; he attended Christ United Methodist Church of South Hills and was a member of Stephen Ministries. Michael’s leisure time was spent cooking, woodworking and crafting. He enjoyed spending time with family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His favorite vacation spot was Florida, where he and his wife, Carolyn, frequented. They enjoyed picking seashells and fishing. On Sept. 28, 1963, he married Carolyn Wilburn Rebich and recently celebrated 60 years of marriage. Michael is survived by his wife Carolyn; his three daughters, Kimberly Aleksivich (John), Kelly Halinka (William) and Krissy Callery (John); five grandchildren, Mikayla Stapleton (John), Hayley Henry (Tommy Wright), Elizabeth Halinka (Keith Davis Jr.), Brendan Aleksivich (Noa) and Jake Callery; five great-grandchildren, Keith Davis III, Lamont Korber, Damoni Davis, Lachlan Aleksivich and Johnny Stapleton; two sisters, Madeline Bambarger and Paulette Tansill (Mel); one nephew, Bryan Shellogg. He was preceded in death by his sister, Sylvia; and beloved aunt and uncle, Tillie and Matt Puskarich. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at GREENLEE’S BENTLEYVILLE FUNERAL HOME, 619 Main St., Bentleyville, Pa., where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday. March 2, 2024. Interment will follow in Howe Cemetery, Coal Center. An online guestbook is available at www.GreenleeFuneralHome.com.
