Revenge win puts Eagles in finals

Redemption, vindication, revenge or whatever word you want to use, the Serra Catholic girls’ basketball squad got it Saturday afternoon in the WPIAL Class 2A semifinal contest. The Eagles used a gritty defensive effort and got timely buckets in the second half to avenge a four-point quarterfinal loss last season to Aliquippa with a 42-36 triumph at Mt. Lebanon High School that sent them to the program’s second championship game in the last four years.
