Smelser Foundation donates AED to Carroll Twp. police

The Mon Valley lost one of its most dedicated first responders when paramedic supervisor Matthew Smelser died in the line of duty Jan. 5, 2020, but his friends and family have ensured his legacy will never fade. The Matthew Smelser Memorial Foundation purchased and donated two Automatic External Defibrillators — one went to the Mon Valley YMCA in Carroll Township and the other was donated to the Carroll Township Police Department.
