Alma Louise Papa, 83, of Smithton, died Thursday, Feb. 22, 2024. Born in Boston, Mass., on Sept. 14, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Edwin and Alma Serino Libby. Alma was a true homemaker and caretaker. She loved feeding her family and was truly dedicated to taking care of the family. Alma is survived by her children, Alma Goveia, Dominic Papa, Teena Papa and Heidi (Eric) Worthing; grandchildren, Mario (Sarah) Calderone, Cayla Calderone, Dominic (Devon) Papa, Catie Goveia, Gina Goveia, Neiko Kuntz, Nino Kuntz, Casey (Erin) Worthing, Spencer (Nikki) Worthing, Bailey (Nick) Galper and Peyton Worthing; great- grandchildren, Nolan Scott, Monroe Scott, Morgan Calderone, Avi Worthing, Ezra Worthing and soon to be born, Archie Galper and L. J. Harvey; siblings, Nancy O’Brien, Edda Libby and twin brother, Leo Libby; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Alma was preceded in death by her daughter, Anita Papa; siblings, Marie Libby and Al Libby. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to JAMES C. The family extends a special thanks to OSPTA Hospice, especially nurses Jessica, Ann and Dawn and her aide, Winter, for their compassion and wonderful care of Alma.
