Jon E. Caldwell, 55, of Bentleyville, passed away Sunday, Feb. 18, 2024, in his home. He was born Oct. 19, 1968, in Washington, Pa., son of the late Robert Caldwell Sr. and Paulette Dzubay Caldwell of Eighty Four, Pa., who survives. Jon was a 1986 graduate of Ringgold High School. He was employed as a machinist at Flow Serve Inc. in Bridgeville for over 20 years. Mr. Caldwell attended Olivet Presbyterian Church in Elizabeth. He was a member of several clubs in Bentleyville and was part owner of Sugar Creek Sportsman’s Club.  Jon was a fan of all of the Pittsburgh sports teams, particularly the Penguins. He enjoyed  hunting and fishing in the Outer Banks, N.C. Surviving in addition to his mother, are a brother, Robert “Skip” Caldwell of Finleyville; aunts and uncles, Albert Caldwell (Joyce) of Moundsville, W.Va., Harold “Bill” Caldwell of Bethel Park, Betty Gordon of Youngwood and John Dzubay (Elaine) of Greensburg; and special aunt, Kathleen Friedrick (Kurt) of Redford, Wash.; numerous cousins; and close friend, Doug Tomko of Bentleyville, Pa. Deceased are his father, Robert Caldwell Sr., who died in 2017; a brother, Michael T. Caldwell, who died in 1997; grandparents, Stephen and Pauline Dzubay and Edward and Elizabeth Caldwell; and three uncles, Edward and Paul Caldwell and Stephen Dzubay. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at GREENLEE’S BENTLEYVILLE FUNERAL HOME, 619 Main St., Bentleyville, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 23, 2024, with Pastor Walter Pietschmann officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude. An online guestbook is available at www.GreenleeFuneralHome.com.
