Paul ‘Skip’ Petruschak – Roscoe

Paul “Skip” Petruschak, 84, of Roscoe, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 18, 2024, at The Residence at Hilltop. Born April 8, 1938, and raised in Stockdale, he was the son of Paul and Mary Kashok Petruschak Sr. Paul was retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel in Allenport. He was a Vietmam War veteran, having served in the U.S. Army First 27th Infantry 25th Division in Hawaii. He managed local baseball teams for many years and was a past president of the Sokol Club. He is survived by a son, Robert Evans of California, Pa.; three daughters, Tammy (Tom) Vadella of Roscoe, Paula (Jaison) Coles of Roscoe and Sandy (Darrell) Klanchar of Rosoce; 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Judith Scrip Petruschak in 2019, a daughter, Lisa Evans; son, John Petruschak; and granddaughter, Mandy Klanchar. Visitation will be held Thursday, Feb. 22, from 3 to 5 p.m. at Melenyzer Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, Inc., 1008 Furlong Ave., Roscoe, where funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 23, with Rev. Stephen Wahal officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Coal Center. Online condolences may be expressed at www.melenyzer.com.
