Robert Monack, 80, of Belle Vernon, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 10, 2024. A son of the late Martin and Yvonne Herrent Monack, he was born in Charleroi on Oct. 1, 1943. Bob was a graduate of Charleroi High School in 1962. He was a steelworker, an aide at Mayview State Hospital and was also self-employed doing home remodeling. Bob liked to fish, play bingo and hang out at the Coffee Pot and McDonald’s in Charleroi. He is survived by one sister, Linda Ronto; three brothers, David, Richard and Marty Monack; two granddaughters, Brittany Monack and Bobbi Jo Monack, five great granddaughters and several cousins, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Robert Joseph Monack; and his good friend, Georganna Shupenko. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Monongahela Cemetery.
