George A. Pollack – Rostraver Township

George A. Pollack, 85, of Rostraver Township, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2024, at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born June 14, 1938, in North Charleroi, he was the son of the late Mary Costella. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon, Mr. Pollack retired from IBEW Local 126, where he worked as a lineman. George was a veteran, having served in the U.S. Navy. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, hunting and cooking. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Scott Pollack, to whom he was married 63 years; two daughters, Lori Pollack of Belle Vernon, Cheryl Sztroin of Belle Vernon; son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Frannie Pollack of State College; grandchildren, Scott Sztroin, Jeremy Boyd and Stephanie Taylor, Noah Pollack; and a great-granddaughter, Faith Boyd. He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Pollack. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME CREMATIONS LLC, family owned and operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-6183. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations LLC with the Pastor Jeff Marton of HOPE Center Church officiating.
