Janice M. Richter, 86, of Perryopolis, died Thursday, Feb. 8, 2024, in WVU Uniontown Hospital.  Born in Rostraver Township on Jan. 19, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Edgar F. and Henrietta M. Finley Snyder. A homemaker, Janice was a member of Perryopolis Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved to go camping and doing word searches and puzzles. And in her younger years, Janice enjoyed canning the vegetables from her garden. She is survived by her sons, Raymond C. (Carol) Richter of Grindstone and Wildie L. Richter Sr. of Perryopolis; daughters, Lauretta J. “Laurie” (Steven F.) Nemetz of Brownsville, and Arlene F. (Charles T.) Nyland of Carmichaels; grandchildren, Stevie Lynn (Jordan) Whaley, Loralee M. (Joshua) Korzeniowski, Charles Daytona (Danielle) Nyland, Charlotte Marie Nyland, Keith A. Richter Jr., Christian D. Richter, Wildie L. Richter Jr.: great-grandchildren, Kylo Cayde Nyland, Remington Crooks, Bailee Richter and Oliver Richter; brothers, Kenneth (Rose) Snyder of Charleroi and Wilbur Snyder of Beaver Falls; sister-in-law, Ethel Snyder of Greensburg; and her dear friend, Aggie Rerko of Tarrs. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wildie I. Richter; and son, Keith A. Richter Sr.   Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at JAMES C. STUMP FUNERAL HOME INC., 580 Circle Drive, Rostraver Township, 724-929-7934, www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday with Pastor David Patrick officiating.  Interment will follow in Olive Branch Cemetery.
