Rosetta Lanzetta Borriello, 84, of Belle Vernon, Washington Township, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2024, at her home surrounded by her family. Born Oct. 15, 1939, in Naples, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Pasquale and Teresa Liguori Lanzetta. A resident of Belle Vernon for over 50 years, Mrs. Borriello was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church. Rosetta moved to the United States when she was 23 upon her marriage to her beloved husband, Carlo. For more than 60 years she created a wonderful home for her family while also helping her husband build several successful businesses. She loved to dance, travel and sip espresso on the beach. She was an outstanding cook, and enjoyed entertaining her family and friends. Family was first, but Saturday nights were always reserved for dinner and dancing. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Teresa and Russell Kikel of Belle Vernon, and Lisa and Jimmy Martinelli of Belle Vernon; one son, Alberto Borriello of Charleroi; six grandchildren, Adam Kikel, Alexander Kikel, Nina Kikel-Coury, Matthew Martinelli, Anthony Martinelli and Carlo N. Borriello; and five great-grandchildren, Kimberly, Lila, Aiden, Apollo, and Maxwell, plus one great grandchild on the way. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlo Borriello; four brothers Antonio, Ugo, Enzo and Aldo; and two sisters, Carmela and Nina. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME & CREMATIONS LLC, Family owned and operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-6183. Prayers of Transfer will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home followed by a 9:30 a.m. funeral Mass at St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. Michael J. Crookston as celebrant. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Condolences accepted at the funeral home’s website, www.parzynskifuneralhome.com.
