Port Vue residents speak out against PAWC rate hike

Public officials and other speakers voiced their opposition to a proposed rate hike by Pennsylvania American Water Company at a public hearing Monday in Port Vue. Emily DeVoe, an administrative judge with the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission oversaw the hearing, which is the first of several to get feedback on PAWC’s request for a rate increase. She was assisted by a panel of consumer and small business advocates.
