JoAnn ‘Punkin’ O’Hara Condupa – Belle Vernon

JoAnn “Punkin” O’Hara Condupa, 78, of Belle Vernon, Perry Township, passed away Monday, Jan. 29, 2024, at Penn Highlands Mon Valley. Born Oct. 31, 1945, in Bunola, Pa., she was the daughter of the late John and Alberta Lang O’Hara. Mrs. Condupa was Catholic by faith, employed at the Belle Vernon Walmart for 19 years, was an avid bingo player and an avid Pittsburgh Pirates fan. JoAnn was a member of the WTVFC ladies auxiliary and was a founding member of the Perry Girls Softball Association and a coach and statistician. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Joseph M. and Michelle Condupa of Penn Hills; daughter, Jodi Condupa and fiancé Robert Nuttall of Belle Vernon; two grandchildren, Kristin M. Condupa and fiancé Chad Herman, and Courtney Legge and husband Tim; seven great-grandchildren, Hunter McGavitt, Phoenix Herman, Jackson Herman, Chad Hermann Jr., Kolton Legge, Weston Legge and Alora Legge; and two sisters, Ruth Wiles of North Carolina and Sara O’Hara of Bunola. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Condupa (on Nov. 7, 1999); 11 siblings, Ida Wosilek, Clara Jurofcik, Geraldine “Patsy” Dermont, John Christopher O’Hara, Edward “Hank” O’Hara, Patrick O’Hara, Eugene O’Hara, Sister Helen O’Hara, Andrew O’Hara, Agnes Julian and Mary Pritchard; and a special cousin, John Henry O’Hara. Visitation will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. Thursday, followed by funeral services at 6 p.m. at PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATIONS LLC, family owned and operated, 191 Liberty St., Perryopolis, 724-736-2515, with the Rev. Gerald Mikonis of St. Andrew The Apostle Roman Catholic Church officiating. Interment will take place in St. Nicholas Cemetery.
