Carol Ann Beatty – California, Pa.
Carol Ann Beatty, 84, of California, Pa., died peacefully with her family near her side on Saturday, Jan. 27, 2024. She was born on Saturday Dec. 23, 1939, in Charleroi, daughter of the late George and Frances Sholtis Pordash. In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Beatty; the Pordash sisters, Eleanor Timlin, Gerry Platter and Marion Shelling; and a nephew, Geoff Timlin. Left to cherish her memory are her two children, Michael Beatty and wife Erika of Virginia Beach, Va., and Darlene Walters and husband Kevin of California, Pa.; and a sister, Dolores Grimes. Also surviving are two grandsons, Nicholas and Luke Beatty; her best friend, Lacey Petrucci; numerous nieces, including Lisa Petrucci (Dale), Valorie Orlandi, Charlee Petrucci, Julie Shelling and Debbie Lindsay; and nephews, Patrick Grimes, Larry Grimes, Ronnie Shelling (godchild), Spencer Petrucci and Eddie Timlin. Friends will be received at MARISCOTTI FUNERAL HOME INC., Anthony N. Mariscotti, supervisor, 323 Fourth St., California, Pa. from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 1, 2024, and until 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 2, 2024 when funeral services will begin with the Rev. Amory Merriman officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Cemetery.
