Richard L. “Rick” Cain, 70, of Monongahela, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2024, in Penn Highlands Mon Valley Hospital. Born Oct. 15, 1953, in Monongahela, he was the son of the late Clarence W. and Mary DeAngelo Cain. Rick was a 1971 graduate of Monongahela High School and was working at the Department of Motor Vehicles in Belle Vernon and Uniontown. Rick was a member of the former St. Anthony Catholic Church in Monongahela and the Charleroi Archery Club. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time outdoors. He is survived by his loving wife, Cheryl A. Perakovich, whom he married on Sept. 12, 1992; a stepdaughter, Jayme Munger of Donora; a granddaughter, Rosemary Shimek; cousins, Jason and Brittany Cain of Monongahela, and their daughter, Eleanore Cain, whom he considered to be and loved like a granddaughter, along with many more cousins.
