Dennis Charles Rubino – Mooresville, N.C., formerly of Smithton

Dennis Charles Rubino of Mooresville, N.C., formerly of Smithton, passed away at his daughter’s home on Jan. 13, 2024, after a short illness. Dennis was born in Monongahela on Oct. 3, 1939, son of the late William and Jennie Rubino. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Altemare Rubino; brother, Paul Rubino; and daughter-in-law, Terri Rubino. He is survived by his son, David Rubino; and daughter, Denise Rubino; grandson, John; and great-granddaughter, Lana Smith, all residing in N.C.; sisters, Johanna and Stephanie Rubino of Monongahela; and nieces, nephews and cousins. He was a graduate of Monongahela High School, after which he enlisted in the U.S. Army. Dennis and his brother, Paul, operated P & D Generator Service for many years. He was also a master at upholstery work and could build or repair almost anything. He liked hunting and fishing and was devoted to his pets. Funeral arrangements were private.
