Gloria Hartley, 76, of Stroal Acres, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Jan. 21, 2024, with her loving family at her side. She was born in California on May 16,1947, a daughter of Edward H. and Freda Dixon Ermlich. Gloria was a member of Roscoe Methodist Church. She loved to play cards, especially euchre, enjoyed family time with board games and loved to dance. For many years Gloria was the greeter at Melenyzer Funeral Homes & Cremation Services Inc. in Roscoe. Everyone who came through those doors was greeted with a smile and a hug. She will be truly missed by everyone. She is survived by her two daughters, Rene Zdravecky of Roscoe and Leighann (Cory) Campbell of Salisbury, Md.; a son, Edward J. (Beth Crossland) Hartley of Stroal Acres; and four grandchildren, Bobby (Mandi) Booth, Justin Clouse, Ashley Clouse and Sara Hartley. Gloria was preceded in death by her husband, William “Billy” C. Hartley, in February 2022; and her sister, Leatrice Legarsky. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 25, 2024, at MELENYZER FUNERAL HOMES & CREMATION SERVICES INC. 1008 Furlong Ave., Roscoe, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 26, 2024, with Pastor Brian Carroll presiding.
