California Area schools open temporary ice rink

A temporary ice skating rink recently built on the California Area School District campus will give students and community members something to look forward to during the cold winter months. The district received funding for an on-campus rink in December from EQT through an Innovative Classroom grant for $5,000. After supplies were ordered and delivered, it was installed and opened to the public for the first time Thursday evening.
