Janice D. Kasony, 69, of Trafford, Pa., formerly of McKeesport, died on Monday, Jan. 8, 2024. Born in McKeesport on Feb. 19, 1954, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Lena DelCotto Demase. She was the wife of the late Dominic Anthony Kasony, who died on Nov. 30, 2023. Janice graduated from McKeesport High School in 1972 and later from Grove City College in 1976, earning her Bachelor of Science in Accounting. With her Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license, she contributed her skills to various companies, including Chevron, Gulf Oil and Chambers. After her time at Chambers, she transitioned to being a property manager for the real estate businesses owned by her and her late husband. Additionally, she worked as a typist and secretary alongside her husband during his career as a psychologist. She is survived by her children, Brendan (Joyce) Kasony of Ridgefield, Wash., and Leah Kasony of McKees Rocks; as well as stepson, Dom (Diane) Kasony Jr. of Eighty Four; and stepdaughter, Lisa Foscoe of Coraopolis, Pa. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Angelina Kasony and Brendan Kasony; and step-grandchildren, Brittany Foscoe, Tiffany Foscoe and Richard Foscoe. Janice leaves behind her sibling, Dave (Elaine) Demase; and numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends will gather from 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 13, 2024, until the time of services at 11:30 a.m. at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services Inc., 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412-678-6177).
