James Joseph Quashnock, 80, of Elizabeth Township, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2024, at home. He retired as an adjuster for Allstate Insurance Company. A veteran of the Air Force and the Reserves, he was a member of Sts. Joachim and Anne Parish, St. Michael Church in Elizabeth Township. He loved cars, especially his PT Cruiser, and enjoyed boating on Lake Erie and vacationing in Las Vegas. He was a lifetime member of the Elks and a member of the Moose and American Legion Daniel Keffer Post 75 in Clairton. When all is said and done, he’ll tell you he did it “my way.” Born March 9, 1943, in McKeesport, he was a son of the late Joseph F. and Marie G. Jones Quashnock. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Natalie M. (Magiske) Quashnock; daughter, Jamie M. (Brendan C. Holly) Quashnock of Henderson, Nev.; brother, David J. (Donna) Quashnock of Jefferson Hills; sister-in-law, Barbara L. Quashnock; and nieces, Erica Kroll, Autumn (Anthony) DeMarco and Lisa Quashnock. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Richard W. Quashnock. Friends will be received at PAUL E. BEKAVAC FUNERAL HOME, 221 North Second Ave., Elizabeth from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 15, 2024. A Mass of Christian burial will take place at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2024, at St. Michael Church with the Rev. Thomas J. Burke officiating.
