Stephanie Slavik, 88, of Dunlevy, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2024, in Penn Highlands Mon Valley Hospital. A daughter of the late Joseph and Julia Korta Petelicki, she was born in Rosieres, France, on Feb. 23, 1935. Formerly of Charleroi, Stephanie has resided in Dunlevy since 2003. She had been employed as a seamstress at the former Brookvale Sewing Factory, retiring in 1985. Stephanie was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church. She is survived by a daughter and son in-law, Aileen “Kiki” and Michael Kremer of Gulfport, Fla.; a son, Tom Slavik of Monongahela; two brothers, Bernard Petelicki of Paris, France, and Gerard Petelicki of Dijon, France; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four children, Cindy Zimmerman in 2013, Erik Slavik in 2017, JoAnn Wilson in 2020 and Michael Slavik in 2021. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 11, 2024, at FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-5300, www.FergusonFuneralHomeandCrematory.com. A blessing will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday in the funeral home followed by a funeral Mass at Saint Sebastian Roman Catholic Church at 10 a.m. with Father Michael Crookston as celebrant. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
