Darla J. Kramer, 55, of North Belle Vernon, passed away on Friday, Jan. 5, 2024, in UPMC Shadyside. A daughter of the late Delbert Lee Hamer and Shirley Dadisman Hamer, who survives and resides in Fayette City, she was born in North Charleroi on Feb. 5, 1968. Formerly of Fayette City, Darla had resided in North Belle Vernon since 1996 and worked for SPHS Charleroi, retiring in December 2022 after 17 years. Darla was a devoted wife, mother, sister and friend to all who knew her, putting others before herself. She enjoyed crafting, gardening her flowers and especially loved her dog, Piper. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 25 years, Jason E. Kramer; a daughter, Gabi L. Kramer, at home; four sisters, Cheryl (Ronald) Chiplaskey of Fayette City, Phyllis (John) Ritson of Lewes, Del., Vicki (Greg) Acklin of Ruffsdale, and Kathy Hamer of Fayette City; two brothers, Greg Hamer and Jimmy Hamer, both of Fayette City; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother, Douglas Hamer, in 2019. Friends will be received from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 12, 2024, at FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-5300, www.FergusonFuneralHomeandCrematory.com. A memorial service will begin at 8:30 p.m. with Pastor Sandy Fitzgibbons officiating.
