McKeesport Area School Board considers Act 1 resolution regarding taxes

McKeesport Area School Board could vote to adopt the Pennsylvania Act 1 resolution next week for the 2024-25 fiscal year. Under Act 1, school districts cannot raise the rate of any tax by more than its index, which is calculated by the Department of Education. MASD’s tax index rate for 2024-25 is 8.2%.
