On Dec. 29, 2023, Lula Bell Chaney went home to be with the Lord. She graduated from Clairton High School. She was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy, a server head of the missionary department and church treasurer. Everyone who met her knew she loved the Lord. Lula Bell was employed by Meals on Wheels and retired in 2014. She was a driven and reliable worker and continued working into her mid-80s. She was a dedicated mother and friend and showed love to everyone she met. Lula Bell was preceded in death by her mother, Maude Harris. She leaves to cherish her memories her children, Kathryn Davis, Veronica Rodriguez, John Chaney, Robert Chaney, Michael Chaney, Ruth Davenport and Naomi Walker; 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Viewing will take place from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2024, at HOUSE OF JACKSON MEMORIAL CHAPEL in Donora. Viewing will also be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2024, followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. at New Beginnings Church of God of Prophecy, Fourth Ave., New Eagle, with Pastor, Bishop William Luckadoo officiating. Interment in Mon Valley Memorial Park, Donora. Celebration of life has been gently placed in the hands of House of Jackson Memorial Chapel, 546 Thompson Ave., Donora, 724-379-5420.
