Aquinas Academy blasts Leps at Cal Hoopfest

It’s been a tough road for the Belle Vernon Area girls basketball team, but head coach Kaitlyn Slagus is hoping her team realizes with a tough schedule, it’s going to pay off in the end. The Leopards lost for the fourth time in their last five games Thursday, dropping a lopsided 51-16 loss to one of the top teams in Class 1A, Aquinas Academy.
