Mary Ann “Mrs. Kats” Ellsworth Katsuleris, 79, of Monongahela, passed away at home on Dec. 24, 2023. A daughter of the late Thomas and Olga Giannangelo Ellsworth, she was born in New Eagle on Sept. 1, 1944. A 1963 graduate of Monongahela High School, Mary Ann worked at Shop ‘n Save and Monongahela Foodland until her retirement. A member of St. Andrew the Apostle Parish in Monongahela, she always loved going to the Meadows Casino and eating at the Monongahela Eat’n Park. Mary Ann is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Thomas “Kats” (Jamie) Katsuleris of Mt. Holly, N.C.; daughter and son-in-law, Kelly (Peter) Leoni of Monongahela; four grandchildren, Matthew and Jacob Katsuleris and Emily and Randy Drake; two great-grandchildren, Camden and Lauren Katsuleris; a brother-in-law, George Katsuleris of York; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Maria and Lou Sepe of Washington, Pa.; Corrie Russell of Charleroi, whom she considered a sister; her lifelong friend, Marie Cosgrove of Port Orange, Fla.; and her grand dog, Tutu. She was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony L. Katsuleris, who passed away on Feb. 3, 2022; and a sister-in-law, Judy Katsuleris. Friends will be received at MARSHALL MARRA FUNERAL HOME, 216 Chess St., Monongahela, 724-258-6767, from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 28, 2023. A blessing service will be held in the funeral home Friday beginning at 11 a.m. Condolences can be made online at marshallmarrafuneralhome.com.
