Albert Metzner, 91, of Long Branch passed away on Friday, Dec. 22, 2023, at Uniontown Hospital. He was born in Knoxville, Fayette County, on Nov. 11, 1932, a son of Albert and Marie Phillips Metzner. Albert worked for Westinghouse-Waltz Mills and retired in May of 1992. He was an army veteran, having served during the Korean War. Albert spent his retirement between his farm and his cabin in Emporium, Pa. He enjoyed fishing and hunting with his buddies. Albert spent a lot of time with his grandchildren and their hobbies during the summer months. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Norma Cherocci Metzner; a son, Guy Metzner (Heather) of Fallowfield Township; a daughter, Suzanne (James) Pallini; granddaughter, Hunter K. (Jason) Tompkins; grandson Foxx (Sadie) Pallini; and great-granddaughters, Leighanna and Denver. Albert was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Metzner; sister, Judy Young; grandsons, Joshua Metzner and infant Dominic Pallini; and cherished daughter-in-law, Sheila Tuttle Metzner. There will be no public visitation. Arrangements have been entrusted to MELENYZER FUNERAL HOMES & CREMATION SERVICES INC., 1008 Furlong Ave., Roscoe.
