Alleged shooter seeks transfer to juvenile court

The Monessen teen accused of killing Amari Altomore filed a motion last month to transfer charges from adult court to juvenile court. Terry Newton, 17, is charged with criminal homicide following the shooting death of Altomore on Nov. 29, 2022. Altomore died shortly after suffering a single bullet wound to the chest while visiting Newton’s home.
