Lucy M. Kroskie, 88, formerly of Belle Vernon, passed away on Monday, Dec. 18, 2023, in her home. A daughter of the late Tony and Rose Rogers Bitonti, she was born in Belle Vernon on Jan. 8, 1935. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon, Lucy was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church, Anita Garibaldi Society and the Belle Vernon American Legion Bocci Club. She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Rose A. (Bill) Weston of Charleroi, Tina (Chuck) Fisher of North Charleroi, and Tonette Nicolaus of Rostraver; two sisters, Sara Mitchell and Nancy Byron both of Belle Vernon; seven grandchildren, Bob Weston, David Weston, Michael Weston, Amber Hummel, Lea Fisher, Carl Nicolaus IV, and Amy Soffel; and 14 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Kroskie on Oct. 17, 2008; two brothers, Tony Bitonti and James Bitonti; and a sister-in-law, Donna Bitonti. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2023, in the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-5300, www.FergusonFuneralHomeandCrematory.com. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 21, 2023, with Pastor Larry Coltura officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
