By obits

Rosemary Pileggi Savisky, 84, passed away peacefully on Dec. 13, 2023, in Mooresville, N.C. Rosemary was originally from Monongahela. She spent 42 years in Beckley, W.Va. She then moved close to her family in Mooresville, N.C. Rosemary was a graduate of Robert Morris in Pittsburgh, Pa., and then went on to work as an administrative assistant for Westinghouse. She volunteered weekly at Birthright in Beckley for many years. Her favorite role was being a full-time mother, grandmother and great-grandmother! Mothers and babies were so dear to her heart and she loved being with them. She enjoyed spending time with family, friends, golfing, reading her books and traveling. She loved her parish, St. Francis de Sales in Beckley, and volunteered in many areas of the church. This included singing in the funeral choir and being a Eucharist Minister. She traveled to many places around the world. Many of us have the travel bug from our mother. She enjoyed seeing Rome and the Holy Land, both with Dad. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Savisky; her parents, Frank and Josephine Pileggi; brothers and sister, Jim, Pat, Anthony, Joe Pileggi and Katherine Pileggi Farriols; also, her grandson, her little angel, Cameron Savisky; her niece, Marybeth Pileggi Pyles; nephew, John Pileggi; cousins and dear friends. Rosemary is survived by her children; Lew Savisky (Terri), Cathy Savisky, Michael Savisky (Sherri), Laura Savisky Nusser (Bill) and Chris Savisky (Elizabeth); grandchildren, Ryne Savisky, Tyler Savisky (Demi), Connor Benach, Michael A. Savisky, Hayley Nusser, Carmela Benach, Tara Savisky, Hannah Savisky, Kenneth Nusser, Catherine Nusser, Nicholas Savisky, Caroline Savisky and Sarah Savisky; great-grandchildren, Emmett Savisky and Maisie Savisky; and many loving nieces, nephews and dear friends. A funeral service will be held at noon Friday, Dec. 29, 2023, at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Beckley, W.Va. We will have a brief one-hour visitation before Mass with family and friends at 11 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Birthright of Beckley, 400 N. Vance Dr., Beckley, WV 25801, phone:304-253-7656. We will miss you mom! Thank you! Your Children.
