Santa Cop program provides gifts for children in need

Rostraver Township’s annual Santa Cop initiative again brought the Christmas cheer to the area, allowing shoppers to give back and get on Santa’s nice list by purchasing gifts for underprivileged families in the Belle Vernon Area School District. From 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday at Walmart, township police and commissioners, local fire departments and EMS, volunteers from throughout the BVA school district and local residents put their time toward helping to make sure those in need receive gifts under the Christmas tree.
