Funeral services were held on Monday, Dec. 11, 2023, for Kathy Newstrom Kend-le, 70, of Washington, formerly of Monongahela, who passed away on Thursday, Dec. 7, 2023, in the Premier Washington Health Center, Washington. Born Aug. 9, 1953, in New Eagle, she was the daughter of the late Lynn and Helen Nagy Newstrom. Kathy was a 1971 graduate of Monongahela High School and had worked as an assembler for SKC Co. in Eighty Four, retiring in 2019. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Joshua J. (Staci) Smith of Washington; a brother and sister-in-law, Vaughn (Cindy) Newstrom of Belleville, Mich.; two granddaughters, Alicia M. Smith and Alicia M. Smith; and two great-grandchildren, Keyara Crews and Tyleah Corbitt. MARSHALL MARRA FUNERAL HOME, 216 Chess St., Monongahela, 724-258-6767, were in charge of her arrangements.
