Charlotte L. Brady – Monongahela

By obits

Charlotte L. Brady, 96, of Monongahela went home to be with our Lord on Thursday, Dec. 7, 2023. Born in 1927 to Helen Bugar, Charlotte was raised by her grandparents, Susan and Joseph Bugar, from whom she learned the skills of cooking, baking, sewing and gardening — to name a few. She married the love of her life, Charles Brady, and had four children (Maureen, Patrick, Michael and Eileen), losing Michael shortly after birth. She was a hard worker — strong, industrious, innovative — applying her skills to working as a seamstress, cook/baker and apartment complex manager. She then branched out to start a catering business and opened a small diner, Brady’s Kitchen. In her “quiet time,” she made beautiful quilts, afghans and doilies for her family and friends. Charlotte fulfilled a long-term goal of obtaining her high school diploma, studying for and passing her GED at the age of 70. Charlotte was a lifelong member of Saint Andrew the Apostle Parish and found peace in praying the rosary daily. She furthered her devotion by forming a rosary prayer group at the nursing home where she resided in her last days. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Maureen Brady and Eileen (Michael) Kabay; granddaughters, Christine (Shawn) Campbell, Bernadette (Matthew) Marra, and Amber (Roman) Ralli; and great-grandchildren, Mackenzie and Max Campbell, Joseph (Makelsii) Edwards and Sophia Ralli. Charlotte was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles Brady; and son, Patrick Brady. Funeral arrangements will be private and are entrusted to FRYE FUNERAL HOME INC., 427 W. Main St., Monongahela. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the family at www.fryefuneralhome.com.
