William M. Fritch – Donora

William M. Fritch, 88, of Donora, passed away Friday, Dec. 1, 2023, at his home with his loving family by his side. He was born Nov. 17, 1935, in Webster, the son of the late Michael Fritch and the late Mary Cekus Fritch. He was a member of St. Andrew the Apostle Parish in Donora. Bill was a teacher with the Ringgold School District and a technician with BB Electric, where he rebuilt alternators, starters and generators. He served four years in the Army National Guard of Pennsylvania. Bill was an avid gardener and belonged to the Men’s Garden Club of Pittsburgh. In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by his son, John Michael Fritch; and a grandson, Joshua Fritch. Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife of 65 years, Dedra (Steban) Fritch; two sons, William (Linda) Fritch of Maryland and Michael (Margaret) Fritch of Whitehall; and four grandchildren, Jacob, Stephanie, Katie and Austin. Arrangements have been entrusted to ANTHONY L. MASSAFRA FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICE INC., 40 Second St. Ext., Donora, PA 15033, 724-379-6900, where the family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2023. Prayers will be recited in the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 7, 2023, followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian burial at St. Andrew the Apostle Parish Donora Campus. Interment will follow in West Newton Cemetery. A special thank you to Amedisys Hospice for their loving and compassionate care for our loved one.
